MESA, Ariz. -- Most people who own classic Chevrolets enjoy driving them, and to make them safer to drive on today's highways, Impala Bob's offers an expanded line of disc brake conversions with either stock or drop spindles. Prices start at $799.99 for stock kits for 1955-70 full-size Chevrolets, including Impala, Bel Air, Biscayne, Caprice, Delray, 210 and 150. Drop spindle kits are $999.99 for 55-57 models and $1,199.99 for 58-64 models. For 1964-72 Chevelle and El Camino models, stock kits are $1,099.99, and drop spindle kits are $1,149.99. A rear disc brake kit with parking brake that fits any General Motors car or truck with a standard GM 10- or 12-bolt rear end is available for $629.99. "Modern disc brakes are so much more effective in dissipating heat and handling emergency stops than the drum brakes these cars originally came with," said Impala Bob's President Bob Antebi. All kits for full-size cars include rotors, calipers, bearings, seals, dust caps, spindle nuts, hoses, a seven-, eight- or nine-inch booster, master cylinder and proportioning valve.   The drop spindle kits include two-inch drop spindles and move the wheels out 1/8" on each side. The 55-57 kit works with most 14-inch wheels; the 58-70 kits work with most 15-inch wheels. The 55-70 stock kits include a disc brake bracket kit, move the wheels out 3/8" on each side (except 1958 models) and work with most 15-inch wheels.

For Chevelle and El Camino models, the kits include rotors, calipers, bearings, seals, dust caps, spindle nuts, banjo bolts, brake hoses, a seven-, eight-, dual-eight- or nine-inch booster, master cylinder and proportioning valve.
